Rev. H. Patrick Cason has been proclaiming the Gospel for more than 10 years. He is a native of Virginia Beach, VA. Pastor Cason is married to Latora L. Cason and they share two daughters, Niara and Harmony. Upon graduating from high school, Pastor Cason matriculated at Norfolk State University where be obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Music Media, with honors. Continuing his educational journey, Pastor Cason went on to acquire dual Masters Degrees in Divinity and Christian Education from Virginia Union University’s Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology. Currently, Pastor Cason is studying to obtain his Doctoral Degree in Homiletics (Preaching) from Chicago Theological Seminary.

Under the tutelage of his late grandfather, Dr. Harold Cason, Sr, Pastor Cason began working in the ministry as a member of First Baptist Church Campostella, Norfolk, VA. While there, he served diligently as the Youth Ministry Coordinator, Men’s Ministry Coordinator and Director of Choirs. Receiving his call to preach the Gospel in January, 2007, Pastor Cason continued ministry work until being licensed and ordained in 2009 by Rev. Dr. Tyrone Jackson Jr.

 

Since 2016, Pastor Cason has served as the Senior Pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church in Chesapeake VA. Under his guidance, the Bethany Church has forged many fruitful partnerships with area churches and community organizations. Pastor Cason’s vision lead to the creation of the non-profit, A Real Chance VA. As the Founder and CEO, Pastor Cason channels his desire to be a catalyst for change in order to pour back into the community and to positively affect the lives of others.  

 

Pastor Cason is known for his innate ability to preach the Gospel with a powerful zeal and passion that allows individuals to apply the timeless truths of the Scripture to their everyday lives. He conducts a daily Facebook Live broadcast and prayer call to inspire and uplift individuals by imparting the word of God.

 

His commitment to serving the local community has afforded him the opportunity to receive numerous accolades over the years including the Outstanding Community Leader Award from Chesapeake City Mayor, Richard West in addition to being nominated for the “Best of the 7 Cities” Best Pastor Award for two consecutive years.

 

Pastor Cason maintains various local, state and national affiliations. He is a proud and active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. His passion for people propels his belief that no matter what it looks like, feels like or seems like…”All things work together for my good” (Romans 8:28).
